Steve Allen

On April 1, in the wake of the recent Heaven's Gate cult suicides, Entertainment Tonight featured Steve Allen, co-chairman of CSICOP's Council for Media Integrity. He spoke about his own experience in 1971 when his son joined The Church of Armageddon, "a cult fanatically devoted to the teachings of Jesus Christ". His son remained in the cult for eleven years.
