Dark Digivolution | When a Digimon is pushed too hard to Digivolve, it results in a Dark Digivolution. The newly Digivolved Digimon will be out of control. |
Dark Masters | Four Mega Level Digimon created by Apocalymon. While the kids were in the real world battling Myotismon, the Dark Masters emerged, taking control of the Digital World. |
Dark Network | A network created to monitor Etemon's domain. |
Dark Ocean | This is not only an ocean, but a world. The DigiDestineds refer to this world as the Dark Ocean. Aside from the Dark Ocean, this world houses a beach and foresty area. When Ken was brought to the Dark Ocean, it turned his Digivice into a Dark D-3, and fully activated his Dark Spore, making him the Digimon Emperor when he traveled to the Digital World. Kari was carried to the Dark Ocean from holding her feelings in. She met a group of Divermon, know as "Scubamon", who wanted Kari to free them, and when she did so, they tried to kidnap her. Kari was able to reach out to TK, Patamon, and Gatomon, who came to her rescue. |
Dark Rings/Spirals | The Dark Rings were made by the Digimon Emperor to enslave the Digimon of the Digital World. The Rings were not strong enough to control Ultimate Level Digimon, so the Emperor created the Dark Spirals, more powerful versions of the Dark Ring. |
Dark Spores | When Ryo and Ken defeated Millenniummon, Dark Spores were released into the air, infecting Ken. The Spore activated fully when Ken visited the Dark Ocean after his brother died. Ken became the Digimon Emperor, but was freed with the help of the DigiDestined. Some time later, Oikawa was able to make copies of the Spores, infecting other children of the real world. The Spores' power gave Myotismon the ability to release himself from Oikawa's body, reforming as MaloMyotismon. |
Dark Whirlpool | A whirlpool TK and Pegasusmon were near, where TK felt a presence of evil. The Digimon Emperor confronted Devimon there, using some of his data for Kimeramon. |
Data Attribute | A Digimon attribute that are usually peaceful. These Digimon usually live to do a job. |
Data World | A world where Digimon's data is sent after they die. The data is then reconfigured into a DigiEgg. The DigiDestineds and Digimon of 01 found theirselves here after being destroied by Apocalymon. |
Destiny Stones | The ballance of the Digital World. Once these were destoried by BlackWarGreymon, Oikawa would be able to enter the Digital World. |

Digital Barrier | A barrier sent to Izzy by Gennai to make Izzy and his family invisible to the Bakemon who had entered his appartment building. |
Digital World | The world Digimon live in. |
Digivice | An item received by a DigiDestined proving their partnership to their partner Digimon. The Digivice can enable a Digimon to Digivolve. |
Digivolve | Digimon can evolve to their next level of growth, known as Digivolving. |
DNA Digivolve | When two Digimon's human partners have a good relationship or some sort of connection, the two Digimon are able to Digivolve togather, making one new Digimon. |
D-Terminal | A communication device commercially made. They are able to store DigiEggs and send emails. |

File Island | File Island is a small island in the Digital World where Gennai hid the Digivices and DigiEggs for the DigiDestineds to discover. |

Gennai | A being, neither human nor Digimon; he was a member over seeing the Digital World. When the conflict between a Greymon and a Parrotmon happened, the group created the Digivices, the Tags, the Crests, and the DigiEggs of the future DigiDestineds partner Digimon. The group picked the 8 DigiDestineds because they had witnessed the battle between Parrotmon and Greymon. The Dark Masters found out about the group's plans, and launched an attack. Everyone was killed except for Gennai who was able to save the DigiEggs and Digivices. Piedmon captured the Tags and Crests. When Gennai was making his escape, he dropped Gatomon's DigiEgg and Kari's Digivice. This is why Kari didn't arrive in the Digital World when the others did. |

Mode Change | When a Mega Leveled Digimon has enough power to Digivolve, but with there being no level past Mega, the Digimon cannot Digivolve, so they must Mode Change. A Mode Change Digimon is still a Mega Level Digimon. |
