Digivolving is the process that a Digimon takes to evolve into a stronger, higher-level Digimon. This process can be done using many diffrent methods.

| Experience. If a wild Digimon battles enough, it may be able to Digivolve through gaining strengh. |
| A Digivice. If it has a partner and the partner has a Digivice, the Digimon will most likely be able to Digivolve.

| Tag and Crest. If it has a partner and the partner has a Digivice, their Tag, and their Crest, the Digimon will be able to Digivolve, but only when the partner shows the emotion that is on the Crest.

| A DigiEgg. A Digimon will be able to Digivolve if his partner holds a DigiEgg. The partner states, "DigiArmor Energize!" |
| DNA Digivolution. If 2 Digimon's partners have a good relationship, the Digimon may be able to DNA Digivolve. |
| Warp Digivolving. A Digimon that has very high experience stats can Warp Digivolve, by going from it's Rookie stage to it's Mega stage! |
| A Dark Digivolution. If the partner treats his or her Digimon bad, it will Dark Digivolve to a Virus type Digimon that is evil. |
| A Matrix Digivolution. If the Tamer has a blue card, he or she may swipe it. With the added power from Calumon, or Crystal Matrix, a Digimon will be able to Digivolve to Ultimate. |
| Swipping A Card. A Tamer may Digi Modify a Digimon with a Digivolution Card, enabling a Digimon to Digivolve to Champion. |
| If the partner is mad enough the Digimon may Dark Digivolve. |
| If the partner wishes hard enough. |
| A Spirit. If a Digimon obtains a Spirit, it is able to Spirit Evolve into its Legendary Warrior. |
| DigiSoul. When a Digimon recieves a human's DigiSoul, it is able to evolve to a higher level. |
