Although children are often considered a gift from God in Costa Rica, there are more than 143,000 street children who have been abandoned or orphaned. Most of them spend their time begging on the streets or working at odd jobs. These children need the Word of God.

This project will organise a committee to help children develop useful skills, while at the same time gaining the education they so desperately need. The committee will look for resources and the assistance of business people in providing children with ways and means to support themselves.

Specifically, 20 contributors will be involved by providing an annual gift of $1,000 that will support the programme and provide sustenance and education for at least 300 children. Bible classes will be organized to allow children to study the New Testament in one year. In addition, Scripture Portions and New Testaments will be distributed to 100,000 households.
