Carlos Tevez's five-year plan at Man UnitedBy Vicki Hodges Last Updated: 9:20am GMT 29/01/2008 Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez wants to stay at Old Trafford for the next "four or five years" before returning to play domestic football in Argentina. The 23-year-old says he has always wanted to return to his homeland and end his career at Boca Juniors and hopes to stay with the Premier League champions before making one last move. "I would like to play four or five more years in Europe. I would love this to happen at Manchester United and then go back to Argentina," Tevez told Radio Del Plata. "I know I will finish my career at Boca. No doubt about it. I do not imagine myself retiring without winning one more title there." Tevez has been in superb form since joining United from West Ham in the summer and is currently the club's second-highest scorer this season with 13 goals in all competitions. The former Corinthians player feels he is yet to produce his best form since his switch due to a hectic summer schedule which saw him compete at the Copa America in Venezuela. Argentina reached the final but were beaten 3-0 by rivals Brazil and Tevez said: "I am playing at a 70 or 80 per cent of what I can really do. "I'm finding it quite difficult to get over each match. In the last 25 minutes, the level drops. "My body needs a rest. I have had no holidays for two years. I want to be calm, with my family, thinking about nothing for 20 days. "Since the Copa America (last summer), I've had no rest. I will see how I am in May, when the season finishes." United could be dislodged from the top of the table ahead of tomorrow night's match with Portsmouth with Arsenal hosting Newcastle at the Emirates tonight. Nemanja Vidic is still struggling with a virus and remains a doubt having missed the FA Cup win over Spurs on Sunday. Patrice Evra, meanwhile, has opened contract talks regarding a new deal at Old Trafford. The full-back is thought to be demanding an improved deal which would see him join the top earners at the club like Rio Ferdinand. Cristiano Ronaldo, however, stands to win a massive pay out if he reaches 30 Premier League goals this season to become the first United player to do so since Denis Law in 1963/64. The Portuguese winger has struck 25 goals in all competitions and 17 in the top-flight but has been promised a winfall by manager Ferguson if he scores another 13 times. "It's a big ask, but if he does manage it, I'll pay him more money," Ferguson said.

Anyone who saw Tevez here in Brazil, like those of us who live here, could have told Pardew what an idiot he was for not picking him or Mascherano in his squad.
Tevez is putting in some wonderful performances lately, he has scored 13 but he is a creative force and has set up countless chances for his team mates, he is class. if he gives United 4 more years and matures with Rooney and Ronaldo all roughly the same age they will be the most potent strike force in Europe ......
