CCL has been requested by a major international EPC contractor to provide experienced Senior Process Control Engineers to be based in West London. Client would consider permanent staff or contract basis. Excellent rates and salaries.
Degree level, Chartered Engineer preferred. Candidates should have the following skills: Ability to design / develop basic, advanced and complex process control strategies. Ability to lead small team of engineers. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to develop P & ID, PFD. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Experience and knowledge of Hydrocarbon processing plants specifically Gas Processing, LNG, GTL and Petrochemical and refining plants, including packaged equipment. Experience of design / development of Process Shut-down schemes to meet the shut-down requirements identified by HAZID and SIL assessments in accordance with IEC 61508 / 61511. Fluent written and spoken English. Must be EU / EEA citizens or residents.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in process control. Required to work as part of a team of process control engineers for major projects or handle smaller projects as sole Process Control engineer. Required to design / develop Process Control strategies at plant-wide and equipment levels. Will ensure that proposed schemes are practical, operable and meet client’s requirements for their operation of the plant. Responsible for the documentation of these strategies in explanatory Philosophy documents and on P&Ids. It is expected that the candidate for this position will either have come from a process engineering background and have developed a good understanding of the practical aspects of field instruments and control systems or will have come from a C&I background and have developed a good understanding of process behaviour and plant operation. This is not a control system (DCS, SCADA etc) engineering position, the Process Control Team specifies functions to be executed by the control systems, but is not involved in their purchase or configuration.
