CCL has been requested by a major international contractor to provide a Senior Electrical Designer to be based in London on a long-term contract basis. Candidate will be part of a small team of engineers and designers, working on concept selection, FEED and details design / EPIC projects in conjunction with other disciplines in the projects group.
The ideal candidate will have an HNC or relevant experience. Work will be carried out using AutoCAD version 2005 which is essential, PDMS advantageous, but limited access to system. Capable of self motivation and setting own work agenda on small fast track projects to meet schedule. Must hold UK / EU or EEA citizenship.
Extensive petrochemical and oil / gas industry experience. Work areas involve Conceptual engineering, FEED and detail design projects. A good general background in onshore and offshore electrical design and capable of producing the following range of drawings and schedules: single line diagrams, block and interconnection diagrams, cable schedules, racking and routing layouts, switchroom / local equipment room layouts for electrical and other equipment, power layouts, lighting and small power layouts, lighting calculations and reports using lighting design packages from manufacturers using software such as Chalmlite™ or similar, production of standard details, earthing layouts, material take off schedules, with specifications for electrical bulk materials to be purchased, schematic and interconnection diagrams, distribution board schedules, review of supplier documentation for a wide range of electrical equipment as input to design deliverables, hazardous area layouts and sections.
