As Becta’s Finance and IT Director, you will manage a team of 20 and will be a key member of the management team with over-arching responsibility for the financial and IT services that support the organisation in the effective delivery of its programmes and wider corporate activity. Specifically, you will develop and implement strategic plans for Finance and IT and ensure that appropriate programme, governance and management arrangements are established.
The successful candidate is likely to have experience of leading a finance function as well as having managed significant business focused IT projects. You will have excellent communication skills, with the proven ability to negotiate with and influence a wide range of stakeholders. You will also have a commitment to working collaboratively and providing first class customer service, as well as:
• A recognised accounting qualification
• A successful track record in policy and strategy formulation
• A proven track record of managing change
• Operational and managerial experience of developing and improving high quality services via direct provision and through partnering
