This senior position will have a number of key responsibilities:
• Canvas new prospects, detect and grasp opportunities and optimise the probability of making sales
• Reply to calls for tender, make unsolicited offers, win contracts
• Develop customer relationships by steering, managing, motivating and monitoring the sales team (currently 4 strong)
• Maintain close links with UK MOD programmes whilst developing the lucrative export market that exists
• Be aware of the customer & competitor environment, develop and implement a strategy that will benefit the long term sales policy.
Who we're looking for
You should possess significant experience in MOD and Prime/Tier 1 (Shipyards) sales plus a strong commercial awareness with the strategic vision and ability to proactively target relevant sectors. Demonstrable track record of sales success selling complex long sales cycle solutions (6 months - 2yrs) coupled with a technical knowledge of Naval Communications products and Systems. You should also have referencable client and System Integrator relationships coupled with well time career moves. Personally, you will have high levels of motivation an drive plus effective management capabilities and a high work rate.
