Benefits: £60k - £90k dependent on experience + up to 35 percent bonus.

The company

Due to a restructure within the business, Lloydspharmacy is seeking an experienced estates manager. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and driven property management expert to join the UK’s largest independent community pharmacy chain. Our estate has in excess of 1,600 pharmacies across the UK, based predominantly in community and health centre locations. To give you some idea of the size, we employ over 16,000 staff and dispense over 100 million prescription items annually. Our turnover in 2006 was £1.5 billion.

The Lloydspharmacy vision is to go from a good pharmacy business to a great healthcare brand. Ultimately we aim to be acknowledged by our customers, employees, suppliers and the NHS as the UK’s leading pharmacy multiple in the provision of healthcare – and related products and services – to the community.

You will be responsible for leading a multi-site, multi-disciplinary team in order to strengthen and improve the existing estate. At all times you should be able to keep development and property management in line with current and future company objectives.

The person

You will have a proven track record of a senior position within a multi-site retail property environment alongside strong transformational leadership skills. On top of which you must be able to demonstrate strategic thinking with strong implementation management experience. Excellent negotiation skills, commercial acumen and the ability to manage and lead multi-site multi-disciplinary teams are also essential.

Desirable qualities we would ask for are general estate management experience including contract management, asset management and resolving landlord and tenant issues. It would also be helpful if you have some experience of pharmacy and healthcare.

The benefits and rewards

In return you will receive a competitive salary ranging from £60 to £90k dependent on experience. Additionally in line with the grade for the position, a bonus of up to 35 percent of salary can be awarded (dependent on company and personal performance). Other benefits include private medical insurance, pension, life assurance, 25 days holiday with the option to purchase 5 additional days, childcare vouchers and staff discounts.
