the iiNet freezone

iinet freezone

All iiNet broadband accounts include access to the Freezone. The Freezone is a selection of servers and sites on the Internet that you can download from without it counting towards your quota limit.

Better still, if you do reach your quota, downloads from anywhere in the Freezone are not affected by shaping, so you can still access all the content at full speed! Check out the information after the list below for more tips on using Freezone sites.

Note: Uploads are not included in the Freezone for Naked DSL and so will be counted towards your monthly quota.

The following sites and content are available through the Freezone:

download sites and mirrors

games

internet radio

more information on freezone sites

Be careful about clicking links or ads on Freezone sites as they may take you away from the Freezone where the data is counted towards your monthly download quota.

Monitor the URL (web address) of the unmetered site that you are visiting. If the URL changes you may be using your broadband quota.

Please be aware that if you alter the DNS settings in your computer, Freezone content may become metered. Please use the automatic settings assigned by our servers.

Whilst the actual download of data is not counted, some sites and content may require you to pay for the item you are downloading. For example - a piece of software on Tucows may be paid for but the download of the data comprising the product is not counted in your quota.
