How to find information about individuals who served in these regiments and corps

This list presents units in order of precedence. Regiments and corps formed by amalgamation under Strategic Defence Review Chapter Two (2006-2008) are designated in italics. The main feature was the Future Infantry Structure (FIS), or consolidation of all remaining single-battalion infantry regiments (except Guards) into large regiments. Announced on 21 July 2004, the reorganisation was to be completed by April 2008.
