Your Profile page is where your friends and other people find you and learn more about you. It's also where you access and manage your community content, recent purchases, reminders, friends and other people on Amazon.com. You can see what your friends are up to, add new friends and favorites, create new content, and update your public information. You also can see how people are voting on your Reviews, Images, Listmania Lists and So You'd Like To . . . Guides.

To edit your personal details: Go to Your Profile and click the Edit button at the bottom of the About Me section. You may be asked to sign-in before continuing. On the Edit page you can update your profile details such as birthday and displayed e-mail address. You can also share information about yourself with others in the Interests and In my own words sections. Depending on which information you are entering, you can also set who gets to view it: everyone, friends only, or just you. When you're done editing this information, click the Save changes button at the bottom of the page.

Your latest activity displays on your Profile page and on the Profile pages of your Amazon Friends and customers who have marked you as a Favorite person, depending upon the viewing settings you have made. Your Latest Activities can include any of your public activities, such as writing a review, making a new Amazon Friend, or adding something to your Wish List (unless you've marked your Wish List as private).

To change your viewing settings: Click the Set viewing permissions button to indicate who will see this information. In the "viewable by" pull-down menu, you will see these options:

• Me - only you will see this information.
• Friends - only Amazon Friends will see this information and only on your Profile page, but it may show up on others' Recently Active Amazon Friend & Interesting People section.
• Everyone - everyone will see your latest activity on your Profile page, and Amazon Friends and people who have marked you as a Favorite person will also see your activity on their Profile pages.

Note: Changes in viewing permissions for certain features, such as Wish Lists on your Profile page, typically take 24-48 hours to take effect.

How Activity Information Is Displayed

Activity information is only displayed in the Latest Activity section if that activity's viewing permission is set to "Everyone" (as compared to "Amazon Friends" or "Self"). For example, if a person you have marked as a Favorite has set his or her birthday to be viewable only by Amazon Friends this information will not be visible in Latest Activity. However, when Amazon Friends visit that person's Profile page, that birthday will be visible. In other words, Latest Activity will only display information for a particular action you take if it is viewable by all customers on Amazon because you set the viewing permission to "Everyone."

To set viewing permissions: Refer to the list below to determine where to set viewing permissions for each activity type.

• Notification of your upcoming birthday or anniversary: Located in the About Me section of your Profile. Click the Edit button to access permission settings.
• Additions to your Wish List: Located on your Wish List page. Click the "Edit this information link found on the top right-hand side of your Wish List page.
• Recent Purchases: Recent purchases only display on your Profile page, never in Latest Activity. You can control who gets to see Your Profile by clicking the Set Viewing Permissions button.
• Public activity such as making new Amazon Friends, Favorite People, writing a review etc.: There are no viewing options for this. These activities always display in Latest Activity.

This is your opportunity to share your tastes in books, music, movies and other products with other Amazon.com visitors. Favorite Items I Own appears on your Profile page and is visible to everyone as soon as you add your first item.

To add items: Use the Add/Remove items button to create links to specific items for each desired category. Items that you have either previously purchased or recently viewed on Amazon.com will display in a pop-up window. If you'd like to add an item to the list, simply look up the item on Amazon and it will be added to your history. Then when you go back in to add an item under its respective category it should appear under "recently viewed."

Add up to 5 of these items to your list of Favorites using the Add button, and click Done when your list is complete. Use the comment field below the Add/Remove items button to write an optional comment about these favorites. Be sure to click the Save changes button after making all your selections.

To remove items from a list: Click the Add/Remove items button for the desired category. In the pop-up window, click the Remove button next to item you want to delete from the list. Click the Done button when finished. Be sure to click the Save changes button after removing all your items.

This area on your Profile has the ability to display up to your last 12 purchases on Amazon.com.

To change your viewing settings: Click the 'Set viewing permissions' button to indicate who can view this information. In the "viewable by" pull-down menu, choose one of the options listed below.

• Me - only you will be able to see this information.
• Friends - only Amazon Friends will see this information and only on your Profile page.
• Everyone - everyone will see your recent purchases, but only on your Profile page. They will never appear on the Profile pages of other Amazon customers.

Note: Your Recent Purchases can only be viewed in your Profile and will not be listed in your Latest Activity.

By default, your Amazon Wish List is visible to everyone. To change who can see your Wish List from your Profile page, click on the appropriate Wish List in the Wish Lists and Registries section. On the Wish List page, look for the link on the far right side of the screen that says "Edit this information." Select the appropriate viewing permissions in the "This list will be viewable by:" pull-down menu and click the Save Changes button.

All Customer Reviews that you have submitted will appear on your Profile and be visible to everyone.
