Diane took her seat next to Alexis, and they commenced to sniping. Turned out Kate loaned them both designer dresses. The flight attendant demanded they put their dresses in the overhead compartment. Then the litigators argued over personal space and traded seats. While Diane droned about the golden age of airline travel, Alexis donned headphones. Meanwhile, Ric tried to convince Alexis' daughter Kristina to take a nap, but she wanted to go to a movie. He summoned Skye, who tamed the child with blocks. Ric invited her to stay for dinner and made hot chocolate. They admitted they are attracted to each other, then started making out. Then she got melancholy about her unhappy childhood. He drew her close and asked to see the snow on her hair. "Are we starting something here?" she purred. "I hope so," he replied, and they smooched. Then he mentioned her owning Lorenzo's piers, and she cut him off at the knees. Back on the plane, the attendant explained that the plane hasn't taken off because it's too heavy — by 200 pounds. Alexis read her the riot act and insisted on dumping luggage to make weight. The pilot came along and sized up the mouthy litigators. The attendant reckoned they weigh "about 200 pounds."
Kate was mean to Clarice, but refused to tell Sonny she misses him. At the coffeehouse, Sonny was angry that "somebody touched my stuff." Clarice found the painting Sonny bought for Kate called "Absence" and suggested Kate do something about her longing. Kate sent Clarice to give Sonny the painting he likened to Morgan throwing pasta on the wall. He sent her a stone from the wall between their properties, noting, "at least now we have an opening."
At the GH nurses' station, Jason invited Elizabeth to the safe house, but she didn't have a baby-sitter. Carly was passing by on her way to her appointment with Kelly. Carly said she's going to try to "will" herself pregnant. Sam appeared and told Liz that Lucky could bring the kids to her house. Liz was aghast, and they traded insults about their respective sluttiness. Jax went home for lunch, where Carly started to maul him. But Sonny interrupted with Michael, who had beat up Wally for calling Sonny a gangster. Carly and Sonny scolded him, but Jax stepped in and convinced Michael to set an example of good behavior for Morgan. Sonny took his son home, but before Jax and Carly could get busy again, he got called to Metro Court. At the safe house, Jason found the sketch Liz did of Jake. Liz arrived and asked Jason to pose for her, but she wouldn't let him see it in progress.
Logan arrived at the police station, where Mac was telling Johnny he found skin cells underneath Georgie's fingernails. Harper took Johnny to get a sample of his DNA. Maxie once again clashed with Felicia over her sister then stormed out. Coop promised to watch over her. Then Felicia noticed that a footprint on the floor of the station matched the prints at Georgie's crime scene — both had a distinctive, dice-like pattern. Later, Coop broke the lace of his boot — a boot that had the same dice-like pattern. Somewhere mysterious, a captive Lulu was shoved, screaming, into a locked room. Outside, Jerry smirked.
Sam found Carly's giraffe bracelet on the floor, and decided to deliver to her personally. At the house, she asked if it was a gift for Jake. When Carly professed ignorance on why Sam would expect her to give Liz's child a present, Sam tried to cover. But they argued, and then Sam blurted out that Jason is Jake's father!

Ric asked Skye to rethink what "two smart, powerful people could do together." "That's exactly the problem," Skye replied. She accused Ric of being obsessed with power and control, and also accused him of having a relationship with Alexis "just to stick it to his brother." Skye conceded she's drawn to Ric but insisted it wasn't healthy, and that his thirst for power would destroy them. Her doubts about Ric deepened when he didn't give a direct answer to her question about whether he'd give blood to save Sonny's life as Sonny did for Ric. "I'm not looking for you to save my soul or make me a better person," Ric insisted. But his arguments for giving them a shot fell on deaf ears, and Skye excused herself. Trevor arrived and warned Ric of a "new, destructive" threat that may arrive in town. Ric surmised that the "new threat" may be Sonny.
Alexis and Diane bickered as they drove to Philadelphia. Diane blamed Alexis for them getting thrown off the plane. Alexis asked Diane to slow down. Diane was confident they won't miss the awards ceremony. While driving their tire popped and they pulled onto the side of the road. They bickered as they resolved to change the tire. After getting it changed, Alexis drove the car and annoyed Diane by driving below the speed limit. As they bickered over who might win the award they had new car problems: They ran out of gas. Both women gathered their things and began walking but not before accidentally smashing one of the windows of the rental car.
Sonny vented to Max that his lawyer took off to win an award when he needs her the most and that they don't have a handle on who took a shot at him. He said he wants to find the link between the shooting and Johnny Zacchara so he can retaliate. Max tried to voice Jason's opinion that Johnny may have been set up. When Jason returned Sonny lamented to him that he and Kate live in two different worlds. Jason suggested that the two of them go someplace where they can function together. Sonny said it's impractical for him to go on vacation at a time like this, and correctly surmised that Jason's "live for now" attitude was stemming from the whole Jake situation.
Trevor warned Johnny to stop putting off his mob duties. Johnny blew him off to visit his father. In the hospital, Johnny Sr. seemed to be recuperating well. He warned his son to be wary of Trevor and not let him usurp control. Johnny claimed to have the Trevor situation under control.
Jason spent quality time with Jake and Elizabeth. Liz regretted that Jason has missed out on time with Jake, but he reminded her they decided it was in Jake's best interest that Jason stay away. "I'm not going to let Jake suffer for the choices I've made," Jason declared, as they looked at photos Elizabeth had taken of the baby. When the three left, they accidentally left one of Jake's photos on the floor.
Sam told Carly that Jake is Jason's son. Carly refused to believe it, but Sam insisted it was the truth. Carly was sure Jason would confirm this was a lie, while Sam tried to shake Carly's confidence further. "Get out!" Carly demanded, as Sam made a beeline for the door. Carly made her own beeline to visit Elizabeth. She barged in, took one look into Jake's eyes and said, "Oh my God, it's true." Carly gave Elizabeth the chance to put her kids to bed so they could talk privately. "Don't be downstairs when I get back," Elizabeth warned. When Elizabeth returned Carly was still there. She accused Liz of ruining her own marriage and taking advantage of Jason's kindness. Elizabeth told Carly none of this was any of her business, and countered that Carly always uses Jason as her 24/7 go-to guy for all her problems and crises. Things escalated between the two women. When Elizabeth called Carly the town whore, Carly slapped her across the face. She accused Liz of getting herself pregnant on purpose. Elizabeth accused Carly of being upset at Jason for keeping her out of the loop. "The farce is over," Carly declared before storming out. She immediately paid Jason a visit and tearfully asked him: "Is it true? Is Jake your son?!"
Lucky came to visit Sam and asked her what's wrong. "I think I hate myself sometimes," a tearful Sam commented. "Lucky, I am not a good person." Lucky pressed for an explanation, but Sam just asked him to hold her. Elizabeth burst in and blew the whistle on Sam to Lucky.

Diane and Alexis stumbled into a rough-and-tumble biker bar on their way to the Philadelphia awards ceremony. They asked the bartender to use the phone. He asked if they were a couple, and told them they'd have to buy some drinks before they could use the phone. After drowning their 2-drink minimum they asked again, but the phone turned out to be dead. Diane asked one of the men playing pool if she could use his phone. The man agreed — if he could have a dance with Alexis. Their "fun" at the bar came to a screeching halt when Alexis identified them as lawyers. As the bar crowd became hostile Diane pulled a gun from one of them, shot it in the air and threatened everyone to keep their distance as she and Alexis made their escape.
Lucky was flabbergasted by the news from Elizabeth that Sam told Carly about Jake. He suggested they do damage control and keep Carly muzzled ASAP to protect Jake. Sam defended herself and blamed Carly's relentlessness. Elizabeth intimated that she knows something more about Sam. As Lucky pressed for answers he was paged. When Lucky left Elizabeth asked Sam to give her one good reason why shouldn't tell Lucky the whole truth about her. Sam tried to make Elizabeth believe that she cares for Jake and Lucky, and asked Liz to think how much more Lucky could take before he starts using drugs again. Elizabeth left without giving Sam a straight answer as to whether she'd tell Lucky everything.
At the hospital, Epiphany blew up at the staff and asked them if they were being nice to her because her son died. Monica intervened and told Epiphany she knows what it's like to lose a child, and offered an ear and a shoulder. A package arrived for Epiphany containing all of her son's personal effects. Meanwhile Luke posed as a janitor to sneak out of the hospital, but got busted in the elevator by Tracy. Lucky arrived, responding to his page. Tracy threatened to have Luke arrested for bringing tobacco products in the hospital unless he agrees to stay in the hospital. Luke agreed to stay put.
Jason admitted to Carly that Jake is his son. She became unglued when she learned that Elizabeth had kept Jake's paternity from Jason until the hostage crisis. Jason warned Carly not to start badmouthing Elizabeth. Carly got angry when Jason defended Liz. Jason said this is why he never wanted to confide in Carly. Jason told her he doesn't want Jake's life affected or threatened the way Michael's has been. Carly pleaded for Jason to assert himself as Jake's father. He insisted to Carly that this was his choice, not Elizabeth's, but Carly didn't seem to believe or listen to him, and ominously warned she'd "take care of things" before storming out.
At Sonny's café, Nadine ran into Spinelli and mistakenly thought he was on a chat site on his computer. Spinelli told her he's taking an online course to become a private detective. Then Spinelli visited Epiphany at the hospital. She gave him the box of her son's belongings and asked him and Jason to go through them for clues to her son's killer. Skye visited Ric "with a proposition." She offered a stunned Ric all of Lorenzo's waterfront property for free, "as a parting gift," as she's leaving Port Charles. After a bittersweet conversation, Skye kissed Ric goodbye and walked out.

While waiting for Patrick in an examination room at GH, Nikolas talked to Emily. Nadine assumed he was talking to himself. Later, Nadine told Nik that Patrick was running late, and he flew into a patented rage. Patrick arrived and tried to clinically observe until Nik shoved Nadine to the floor. Robin sedated him. Patrick was convinced this was more than just a brain tumor. Nik later awakened and chatted with Emily, then apologized to Nadine. He embraced Emily in the elevator.
Outside Kelly's, Logan demanded Johnny tell him where Lulu is, but he professed ignorance. After Logan left, Johnny called Trevor to demand information, and Logan tailed him. An ill Spinelli visited Kelly's, where helpful customer Joe gave him a pill to pop. Sadly, it made the Jackal pass out. Meanwhile, at the monastery, Jerry listened to Lulu railing behind locked doors. He told a monk a cover story about "his niece" being mixed up in the Witness Protection Program and wanting to run away with her boyfriend. The monk promised to keep Lulu in custody, but Jerry left an armed guard, just in case. Later, when a monk brought her a sandwich, she feigned passing out to get the drop on him and knocked him out. (Obviously, this monastery is not wired for cable.) Fleeing, Lulu tried to call Spinelli, but he was passed out, so she left voicemail. Then she was grabbed and locked up again. Mike sent Spinelli on his way, and he passed out outside Kelly's. Using a fake accent, Jerry called Johnny under the guise of "Moreau" to give him orders in exchange for Lulu. After Trevor left, Logan pulled a gun on Johnny, who explained the blackmail scenario. Logan insisted they team up to get Lulu back.
Sonny scolded Jason for neglecting mob business, but Jason revealed Carly knows about Jake. When Sonny pointed out he has three kids, Jason noted it's his job to protect Sonny's family. "You can't be with your son because of me?" Sonny asked. Jason feared Carly would "make a mess out of all our lives." Good thinking, hit man, because Carly was doing exactly that at that very moment by confronting Elizabeth. Liz insisted that she and Jason mutually decided to keep Jake safe, but Carly accused Liz of selfishly wanting to string Jason along. Liz said Jason knew Carly would make things worse. Carly vowed to do "whatever it takes to pry [Jake] out of your hands" — namely by forcing joint custody. Later, Liz played with Jake who looked out the window, toward Jason. Jax asked Kelly about the chances of having a baby with Carly. She could only speak hypothetically of course, but recommended drugs, surgery to remove scar tissue, then in vitro fertilization.
Diane and Alexis broke into the bar, then changed out of their wet clothes and into their designer gowns. They drank beer and ate cold wings in lieu of their awards dinner. Diane explained how she killed that guy: As a young lawyer, she had been assigned William Guidry, a hate-crime rapist/murderer. She discovered a technicality that could have gotten him off, but kept quiet and let him go to jail, where he was killed. Alexis said she killed someone, too. "I accidentally pushed a man over a hotel balcony," she said, referring to Luis Alcazar, adding, "He killed my sister." Diane suggested Alcazar had it coming because he was a man. They wrapped themselves in abandoned coats and mused about the powerful men in their lives: Sonny, Jason, Ric, Jerry. Diane revealed she was raised by a powerful judge; she cooked for her father before he died of cancer. Diane said the occasional dalliance with a man is enough for powerful women like them, but Alexis wasn't so sure. Only after pumping all the quarters she had into the jukebox did Diane spot the pay phone.
While Sonny brooded on the docks and Jax mooned at the hospital, Carly went to Sonny's empty office. From the porch, Jason watched Liz feed Jake, then walked away.

At GH, Tracy told Luke she has everyone in the hospital bribed so Luke cannot effect another escape. She ordered him to stop smoking, start eating right and to begin exercise. Skye made her rounds with Tracy and Edward and Jax to tell them goodbye. Edward told Skye to contact him if she never needs anything. Privately she told Jax she was on the brink of another disastrous relationship, this time with Ric. Skye urged Jax to work things out with Carly, and the two hugged goodbye. Then Skye paid Luke a visit. When Tracy excused herself Skye informed Luke she was leaving town. Luke recruited her for help in his quest to leave the hospital. Luke disguised himself as her chauffeur and left the hospital with her. "If Tracy's not good to you I may have to come back," teased Skye, before hugging and kissing Luke farewell.
Elizabeth was upset when Cameron dumped a box of matches on the floor. She began to clean them up but was distracted when Jake needed to be fed. Lucky then arrived and asked to talk about Jake. He agreed to stick to the story that Jake is his in order to keep the child safe. Lucky defended Sam and said she'd never do anything to hurt the baby. Liz said Sam can't keep using her inability to have kids as an excuse for her behavior. Lucky agreed and said he wasn't trying to defend her. The two agreed to keep working together in Jake's best interest and Lucky left. Cameron struck a match and threw it into the trash can just as Elizabeth spotted him holding the matchbox. She chased Cameron out of the house, while the lit match begin to set the contents of the trash can on fire. Elizabeth brought Cameron back to the house, but discovered she was locked out while a fire raged inside close to Jake....
On the docks, Jason asked Sam why she told Carly about Jake. Sam admitted it was because he hurt her, so she guessed they were even. "Are we?" Jason asked. The two argued over the ramifications Sam's bombshell created for Jason. Sam pointed out that Elizabeth gave Jason the child she couldn't. The two argued, and Sam asked Jason how he even makes it work "with a woman like Elizabeth" because Liz can't accept him and stand by him. "It's your son who's going to pay the price," she warned. After Jason left she ran into Lucky, who held her accountable for stirring the pot by dropping the Jake bombshell, and questioning whether they have a future. Lucky surprised Sam by admitting he still understands why she did what she did. He spoke of his own experience in destroying his life and marriage with his drug addiction. "I got help with my problem and it's under control. You've gotta do something about [your own problem]." Sam told Lucky she would. Lucky said that her sincere interest in his children tipped the scales in her favor for him still wanting anything to do with her. "I care about you, Sam," said Lucky. "I do know that if we were to have a future, it can't be about what we've done, but about what we do from here on out."
Carly blew into Sonny's office and demanded to speak to Diane ASAP to draw up custody papers for Jake for Jason. Sonny was put off by Carly's demands to meddle in Jason's affairs, and kept shutting her down at every turn. Carly turned on Sonny and asked if Kate left him. Sonny asked Carly to consider why she's always so intent to interfere in everyone else's life and not spend her time worrying about her own. Jason arrived and angrily told Carly to leave it alone. Jason told Carly to go have a kid with Jax if she's feeling so "maternal," but to leave his kid out of it. After Carly stormed out Sonny tried to offer Jason some advice: "Love doesn't screw things up, people do." Jax ran into Carly, happy to see her and eagerly wanting to spend time with her. Carly said she doesn't have time right now because Jason needs her. The two argued over whether Carly should be paying more attention now to him or to Jason. Jax angrily stormed off. In Manhattan, Kate's associates prepared her trip to Paris after her party that night. A look of regret washed over Kate's face. Kate took her plane ticket, tore it in two, and went to leave, only to find Sonny at her doorstep. "It's been very difficult to get you out of my mind," Sonny told her, before they kissed.
Joe brought his ill, pregnant wife into the ER. In the midst of his wife being treated, Joe was informed that his medical insurance policy had lapsed and that his wife couldn't be treated at GH. Instead, she'd have to go to County Hospital. Joe insisted he was up to date on his insurance payments but his declarations fell on deaf ears, and they left. The mayor was then brought in with a knee injury. Joe and his pregnant wife soon returned. Joe was asked if his insurance problem had been straightened out. Joe said yes it was, and he brought his "insurance" with him — he opened his jacket, revealing he was wearing a belt full of explosives.
