Carrier is the world's largest maker of heating and air-conditioning systems. It makes and services
heating, ventilating, and refrigeration equipment. UTC's Otis is the world's #1 elevator manufacturer; it
also makes and services escalators, moving sidewalks, and shuttle systems. Subsidiary Hamilton
Sundstrand produces engine controls, environmental systems, propellers, and other flight systems.
Subsidiary Pratt & Whitney makes engines for both commercial and military aircraft. The company's
Sikorsky unit makes helicopters.
