| | | United Aircraft Corporation circa 1977 | Beautifully engraved 5 3/8 Percent Subordinated $10,000 Debenture Certificate in excellent condition from the United Aircraft Corporation. The certificate was dated in the 1960s and 70s which makes this item between 20 30 years old. This certificate has a red ornate border around it with a vignette of an nicely engraved allegorical figure sitting on a throne holding an old airplane in one had and a wand in the other. There is a city with a factory in the background. During WWII, United Aircraft Corporation was a major contributor to the American victory. They owned the Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Engine Company, Chance Vought Airplanes (makers of the navy's Cosair), Sikorsky helicopters and Hamilton Standard propellers.
