Beautifully engraved 40 year 3 Percent Debenture $1,000 Bond certificate from Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company issued in 1939. This canceled document has an ornate border around it with a magnificent vignette of two allegorical figures, a man and an woman, on both sides of a 1930s style phone. The document is hand signed by the officers of the company and is over 64 years old.
