in 1923. This historic document has an
ornate border around it with a vignette of an eagle. This item is hand signed by the Company’s President and Secretary and is
over 79 years old.
Saint Joseph Union Depot Company (Missouri) was Incorporated "for the purpose of constructing , establishing and maintaining a Union Station for passengers and freight depots in said City of Saint Joseph."
Jointly owned by Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe; Chicago, Burlington and Quincy; Chicago and Great Western; Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Company (CRI&P; #2) [8/20/1866]; Missouri Pacific; and Saint Joseph and Grand Island.
Depot opened on 5/1/1882.
Leased to Saint Joseph and Iowa Railroad Company [1/22/1857] for fifty years on 4/10/1888.
Company dissolved 10/26/1962.
