This historic document has an ornate border around it and has the signatures of the Company's President, Baruch Zuckerman and Secretary, Hirsh Ehernreich and is over 86 years old.
The Poale Zion Publishing Association was one of the major publishing organizations that published the work of leading Zionist writers who sought to establish a homeland for Jews in Palestine. Baruch Zuckerman (1881-1970), originally was inspired by Theodor Herzl and became one of the pioneering Zionists when he emigrated from Kurenitz, Poland to the United States. He was known for his life-long devotion to the Zionist cause. He lived long enough to see the formation of Israel and then be honored by the country.
