| | | F.I.A.T Motor Cab Company, Limited - 1909 | Beautifully engraved RARE certificate from the F.I.A.T Motor Cab Company, Limited issued in 1909. This historic document was printed by F. W. Potter and Co. and has an a vignette of an early motor cab. This item is hand signed by the Company's Directors and Secretary and is over 96 years old. This is the first time we have had a certificate from this company for sale. This early automobile certificate has some light staining on the left side and minor repair in the upper right corner.

According to the company's prospectus "Two hundred thousand shares were to be offered, to purchase 400 Fiat Taximeter Cabs. These cabs, completely fitted and equipped, will cost the Company 350 Pounds each, exclusive of tyres. They will seat four persons, and the carraige work will be of the latest design.... they will be capable of carrying the same amount of luggage as is now carried on the four-wheel horse cabs.... At the time there were only 374 Motor Carriages, and 10,492 horse cabs.
