| | | De Kalb Wagon Company - Illinois 1913 | Beautifully engraved certificate from the De Kalb Wagon Company issued
in 1913. This historic document was printed by Cameron, Amberg & Company and has an
ornate border around it with a vignette of an eagle perched atop a dome. This item is hand signed by the Company's President ( SM Hunt ) and Treasurer ( ES Hunt ) and is
over 91 years old.
Certificate Vignette
The Sycamore Wagon Works was the successor to Shipman, Bradt & Co. The Sycamore Wagon Works was established on January 20, 1904 to manufacture vehicles and other articles similar thereto. The name changed to DeKalb Wagon Company on April 30, 1912 and moved to 229 W. Garden Street in DeKalb, Illinois. On February 26, 1941 the name changed to the DeKalb Commercial Body Corporation.
