6th April 1928 - The newly formed Cinque Ports Flying Club held its first meeting at Lympne Club. The event attracted 30 visiting aircraft and 6,000 people turned up, many enjoying rides for 5/-. Flew from Lympne airport in Kent. It moved to nearby Lydd airport in 1974.
