Beautifully engraved unissued certificate from the
American League Baseball Club of New York, Inc dated 1915. This historic document was printed by the Broun-Green Company, New York and has an
ornate border around it with the company's name on top. This certificate is over 91 years old.
These certificates were issued to help raise money for the purchase of the New York Yankees by Col. Jacob Ruppert and Col. Tillinghast L´Hommedieu Huston. The total purchase price for the Yankees was $460,000.
