Living and Dying was filmed in Dallas/Fort Worth. The film abounds with great story, production, audio, sound engineering and fantastic Acting! (D/FW has SKILLS!) Jon Keeyes has outdone himself this time!! The storyline is great... it unfolds with several twists along the way. I've loved Jon's movies in the past such as American Nightmare and Suburban Nightmare, but this could be my favorite!!!! The audio commentary as well as the "Day in the Life of 'Living and Dying'" both added additional insight into the making of the movie, the motivation of the actors and what makes Jon tick!

I hesitated to watch this because of the violence, but the movie is absolutely worth watching! Very smart and unexpectant twists in the story, and the longer one follows the story, the more the border between good and evil is vanishing. The situations are believable, no super heroes knowing everything! The single characters are portrayed very convincing, and the end is absolutely fabulous - no I don't tell! Just watch!
I admit, I'm an Arnold-Vosloo-fan, but even without him, this is a movie worth watching! It stood even my non-fan-husband's critics up to 5 stars.

Yikes...not sure why these guys choose to actually shoot this movie on film. Definitely not worth the money nor any of your time!

Even fans of Michael Madsen will run from this one.

Whoever this director is, someone needs to step in and prevent this guy from making more fil..er...crap?! His talents lie outside of film making. Bad story, terrible script, terrible direction, no artistic choices, odd choice of actors and a director who clearly cannot direct, especially action...if that's what you call this.

Any 6 grader with a cap gun and a camera phone can come up with something better than what you see here....RUN AWAY, FAR, FAR AWAY!!!

Four people hold up a bank, but the cops have been tipped off and arrive in seconds. A shoot out insues and the surviving robbers are forced into a local cafe, where they take hostages. Two of their hostages turn out to be armed gang bangers, who turn the tables on the bank robbers, making them hostages as well. It was a pretty good opening, but from there it descends into your typical, slow moving, hostage drama, with paranoid cops, scared hostages, and unreasonable demands. Edward Furlong stars in this HBO thriller, and continues to be one of my favorite actors. He is so unappreciated and disrespected in Hollywood, because he was a child actor and will forever be known as that cute kid in Terminator 2. His Co-star is Michael Madsen is by far the worst actor I have ever seen. The guy thinks he's John Wayne, but the second he tries to show any emotion, people start laughing, because he is really that unbelievable. Madsen brings down the credibility of everything he is in, which makes me wonder how this guy continues to get work. Living & Dying has a great opening and an interesting ending, but unfortunately the middle is just about as boring and predictable as a movie can get.

I rented it because Michael Madsen was in it. After viewing it, I wish he was not in it. I have enjoyed his acting in other movies and a TV show but in this he ridiculously overacts. I wonder if the rest of the cast broke out in laughter after doing some scenes. Vulgar, poorly acted. Just a poor excuse of filmmaking in every way.

I expected a brainless action movie with interesting plot twists. Instead was delivered the worst movie I have seen in a long time. The acting was pitiful. The villian was not developed, the cops could only stare and make pronouncements, all the women in the movie had these strange accents and Michael Madsen dropped in as if from Mars. It would have been better delivered as a comedy.
