  • 2nd Clackmannan Rifle Volunteer Corps at Tillicoultry, raised 10 Mar. 1860
  1862 Clackmannan corps attached to 1st Admin Battalion, Stirlingshire Rifle Volunteers
  1867 No. 3 (Alloa) Company and No. 4 (Dollar) Company formed in 1st Clackmannan RVC
  1867.11.05 1st Administrative Battalion, Clackmannan Rifle Volunteers
formed with HQ at Alloa to administer existing corps (also called Alloa Rifles):

  1881.07.01 volunteer battalion of Princess Louise's (Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders)
  1883 H Company formed at Clackmannan from a section formed there in 1882
  1887.12.01 7th (Clackmannan and Kinross) Volunteer Battalion, Princess Louise's (Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders)
  1902 cadet company formed at Dollar Institution
  1908.04.01 amalgamated with 4th (Stirlingshire) Volunteer Battalion, to form 7th Battalion, Princess Louise's (Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders), less cadet corps transferred to OTC
