Welcome to our Volunteer Center!
Are you concerned about the environment but don’t know how to get involved? Would you like to work with other people who share the same environmental ideals as yourself?Do you want to help increase environmental awareness within your community? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you should be an Earth Day Network Volunteer!
Earth Day Network is currently looking for short and long-term volunteers (individuals and groups) who possess or are seeking to develop the following skills:
- A good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
- Willing to answer phones
- Help with data entry
- Office Administration and other clerical tasks
- Tabling and/or helping at off-site events
- Interested in working with others
- Interest and commitment to Earth Day Network values and objectives
If you are unable to volunteer your time, we also welcome donations of office supplies. For example:
- Computer equipment/accessories/hardware
- Fax machines
- Copy Machines
- Office furniture (desks, chairs, etc.)
- Filing cabinets
- Telephone

International outreach

The International Department requires volunteers between now and Earth Day 2008 to contact our international members by phone and email to assist them with the development of their Earth Day 2008 plans and projects. This is an excellent opportunity to sharpen your event organization skills and meet fellow environmentalists from around the world while learning more about the environmental challenges our members face. Our members speak a variety of languages, so whatever your language skills, please contact Joshua Forgotson at forgotson[at]earthday.net to express your interest. Thanks.
