Row 3:
Repeat from * to * across row, ending with a diagonal shell worked in last ch 4 loop at edge. Chain 4, turn. Row 4: (This is the right side of work.) Skip 3 double crochet, single crochet in next double crochet, * chain 4, skip 3 double crochet in next shell, single crochet in 4th double crochet *. Repeat from * to * across. chain 4, turn. Repeat rows 3 and 4 for pattern.
