How To Make A Lacet In Filet Crochet
[Click for Printer-Friendly Page] This how-to gives instructions for making a filet crochet lacet and how to do the stitches that are in the next row above a lacet. Filet crochet lacets are used in a 4-dc filet pattern. The lacet is worked over an area of 2 mesh (over an area of 7 stitches total). A filet pattern with 4-dc mesh has four double crochet in the first mesh of the row and three double crochet in each additional mesh of the row (the mesh are considered to share the double crochet in between two mesh, in other words, the last double crochet of the first mesh is also the first double crochet of the mesh next to it). So two mesh covers an area of seven stitches.
