Three Row Tri-Color Edging Free Pattern

This edging appeared in a 1917 pattern book as the edging used for the Somerset Afghan. I've added to the antique pattern instructions and have created photos showing the progress of the rows, that may be helpful to refer to while crocheting this pattern.

The first two rows of the edging are based on the "crazy stitch" pattern. I had previously put together a how-to, with photos, for learning how to crochet the crazy stitch. You may find it helpful to refer to these photos when crocheting the first two rows of the edging pattern on this page. You can see the Crazy Stitch How-to at http://crochet.about.com/library/blcrazyst.htm.
