Where to Eat Out for Thanksgiving in Las Vegas

Thinking about going out for Thanksgiving? These Las Vegas restaurants are serving up traditional Thanksgiving fare for you to enjoy a hassle-free dinner in a festive environment (or at least, an environment that you don't have to cook in and clean up afterwards!) Most of these restaurants require reservations, so call ahead. Times and prices are subject to change and don't include tax and tip.
There are of course, many, many restaurants to choose from, both on and off-Strip and there's not room to list all of them. Below are a mix of pricey, traditional and to go, that will give you suggestions of Thanksgiving dinner options in Vegas. (Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 22, 2007.)

Al Penazzi, Harrah's Las Vegas

Thanksgiving menu features a gamberetti al salto involtini served with tiger prawns sauteed in olive oil, shaved garlic, lemon zest and white wine. Also offered, a festive la zuppa di pomodori yalli, a creamy yellow tomato soup seasoned with saffron and chervil. For the main course, oven-roasted turkey braised in fennel seeds, brown sugar and tarragon, served with mashed sweet potatoes, fresh buttered greens and sage apple stuffing. To finish off the meal, a gingerbread cake with spiced vanilla sauce, sweet cream and candied pecans. $36 per person.

Starters include a roasted pumpkin soup topped with pomegranate crema and toasted pumpkin seeds for $10. Entree selections include a rotisserie fried rack of pork served with baked granny smith apples, sweet potato gratin and bourbon ancho sauce for $38.

A creamy butternut squash soup with hazelnut creme fraiche to start for $8. Thanksgiving menu entrees include a Nicoise olive-crusted Chilean sea bass with Parisian potatoes, winter vegetables and sun dried tomato fusion for $36. Dessert is a caramel apple tart with almond cream, apples, vanilla bean ice cream and salted caramel sauce for $8.

The Carmel Room is also offering a tasty butternut squash soup for $8. The Thanksgiving menu includes entree choices of the Heritage Gourmet turkey dinner featuring sweet potato and Yukon Gold Napoleon, old-fashioned stuffing, haricot verte, crispy shallots and cheddar cheese casserole, stuffed cipollini onion gratinee, cranberry citrus compote and chablis honey butter turkey gravy, $26; pan roasted halibut with porcini mushroom dusted halibut with garlic shrimp risotto and braised salsify with lobster coral sauce, $28; a Kobe beef New York steak with scallop potatoes, basil seared squash, mizuna lettuce and glace de viande, $52. For dessert, pumpkin pie creme brulee with chantilly cream and candied hazelbuts, $7.

The energetic Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas offers these special Thanksgiving menu items for Thanksgiving Day dinner - butternut squash cream soup, German potato pancakes served with apple sauce, roast turkey with thyme flavored turkey gravy, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn medley and glazed yams and traditional pumpkin pie served with cinnamon cream.

Memphis Championship Barbecue
Memphis Championship Barbecue's Thanksgiving menu includes country smoked ham and smoked turkey served with mixed green salad and house dressing, plus a choice of five side dishes - cream corn; green bean casserole, candied yams, mashed potatoes and giblet gravy, cole slaw, baked beans, cranberry sauce, fruit salad and sage dressing or corn bread dressing.) Each meal comes with rolls, honey butter and choice of pumpkin pie, apple pie or peach cobbler. Dine-in or take-out for $15.99 per person.

Features a choice or roast turkey breast or honey glazed ham. Sides include holiday dressing, giblet gravy, homemade mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, and the chef's choice of vegetable. Also included, a cup of cream of mushroom soup and a slice of pumpkin or apple pie. The Thanksgiving menu will be served from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. $8.99 per person. No restrictions apply.

Also at Arizona Charlie's Decatur, the Frisco Market Buffing includes a carving station serving roast turkey breast, honey glazed ham, and prime rib. Entrees include turkey, roasted pork loin, Southern-style fried chicken, trout almandine, vegetable medley, au gratin potatoes and many other favorites. Numerous dessert choices including traditional pumpkin pie. The Thanksgiving menu will be served from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The cost is $10.99 per person, $9.99 with an A.C.E. Rewards card. No restrictions apply.
