EU states interested in Iran's LNG
Wed, 28 Nov 2007 06:38:33
Iran will have natural gas resources over the next 240 years.
Director General of Iran LNG Co., Ali Kheirandish, says that Germany, Spain and Austria are ready to invest in Iran's LNG project.

"By 2010 the EU countries will need 100 million cubic meters of gas per day to meet their energy needs," the Moj news agency quoted Kheirandish as saying.

Four companies from the EU countries are willing to invest in the project, Kheirandish said without naming them.

According to the plan, Iran's LNG production would double every 3.5 years.

"The Islamic Republic is slated to produce 22 million cubic meters of LNG in 2015."

“The amount will reach 88 million cubic meters of LNG in 2022," he added.
