South Africa and Cuba will co-chair a joint Bilateral Commission aimed at boosting their mutual ties, a top South African official says.

South African Foreign affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma together with her Cuban counterpart, Lomas Morales, will co-chair the 5th session of the joint commission to be held later this week in Cape Town, wrote SABC news on Sunday.

Dlamini-Zuma said, "I will co-chair the 5th session of the South Africa - Cuba Joint Bilateral Commission within the context of South Africa's priority to consolidate and strengthen the bilateral political and economic relations between South Africa and Cuba."
