Four of Iran's most prominent music companies are scheduled to participate in Spain's international music exposition, Womex 2007.

Womex 2007, which opened on October 24 in Sevilla, brings together professionals from the worlds of folk, roots, ethnic and traditional music and also includes concerts, conferences and documentary films.

Ramin Sadighi, founder and director of Iran's Hermes Records, is scheduled to attend the international event, and will be holding a conference entitled “Axis of Opportunity" about the various music prospects in Iran today.

Hermes Records is the first Iranian label concentrating on fusion, experimental as well as classic music.

The record company was founded in 1999 to produce and promote modern Iranian Music, discover creative musicians and help artists reach new horizons.

Sorush, Mahur and Ava-ye Barbad are among other Iranian record companies attending the exposition.
