About the Las Vegas Motor Speedway:
The 1,600 acre Las Vegas Motor Speedway is just miles from the Las Vegas Strip, bringing NASCAR racing events to Vegas. The facility includes a 1.5-mile superspeedway, 2.5-mile road course, 1/2-mile dirt oval, drag strip, and Go-Kart tracks.
Construction of the $200 million complex, (using nearly 2,000 tons of concrete) began in 1995. The first NASCAR race held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was a Truck Series event in 1996.
Events at the Motor Speedway:
The Las Vegas Motor Speedway events include the Nascar Nextel Series: UAW - Daimler Chrysler 400, Nascar Busch Series: Sam's Town 300, and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. There are numerous year-round events on the dirt track, the Strip and the Bullring.

Driving Directions to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway:
From Vegas & The Strip:
Follow I-15 North to Exit 54-Speedway Blvd. The Speedway is about 12 miles north of downtown. You can also take Las Vegas Blvd. up to the Speedway, but traffic is generally horrible there so it's "faster" to take I-15 (Nothing's ever traffic-free here)

From the North:
Follow I-15 South to Exit 54 - Speedway Blvd.

From Southwest Vegas, Summerlin and Northwest Las Vegas (West of 95):
Take 95 North to the 215 Beltway. Take the 215 Beltway east from 95 to I-15, and then take I-15 North to Exit 54 - Speedway Blvd.

Address:
