Items Shipped by Amazon.com

Amazon.com estimates shipment and delivery dates based on the availability of the items you ordered and the shipping options you selected. You will find both shipping and delivery date estimates in the order summary in Your Account.

Our Shipping Methods

  • FREE Super Saver Shipping: You can expect your order to take 3 to 5 business days longer to arrive than if you had selected our standard shipping option.
  • One-Day or Two-Day Shipping: Selecting one of these options does not necessarily mean your order will arrive in one or two days. Each item is listed with an availability estimate, such as "usually ships in 2-3 days," which indicates how long it will take us to obtain the item before we can ship it to you. Also, there is no weekend pickup or delivery for One-Day or Two-Day Shipping. Note: When you select One-Day or Two-Day Shipping, we may use air or ground shipping as necessary to get your items to you within the promised time frame.
  • Tracking Information: To speed delivery, shippers may not location-scan all of their shipments.  When shipping volume is high, packages are processed in bulk, and the first time a package is scanned may be upon arrival at a regional hub near the destination, or even when the package is delivered. If you don't see any tracking data for your shipment, and the estimated delivery date has not yet passed, please do not be concerned.

After the Estimated Delivery Date

If you order does not arrive by the estimated delivery date, it may be lost. Orders shipped via a trackable method (such as UPS) will have tracking information available in Your Account. Please check this information if available and read through the following options:

  • Tracking information indicates the package has been delivered: Please check with your neighbors or family members. Packages are occasionally left with neighbors, a building manager, or are placed somewhere relatively safe such as your porch, garage, or even behind bushes.

  • Tracking information indicates the package is undeliverable: If the package is being returned to us, or if the address is incorrect, click here for more information on undeliverable packages.

  • No tracking information available: If you can't locate any tracking or delivery information about your package, please contact us using the link at the bottom of this page. Please confirm the correct shipping address when writing to us about lost packages.


Used or New Items Shipped by Individual Sellers

If you placed the order with an Amazon Marketplace seller, we will estimate delivery dates; however, you will need to contact your seller if you do not receive your shipment within the expected time frame.

Expected Delivery Times

Marketplace sellers agree to ship within 2 business days of your purchase. Expected transit times for each shipping method are listed below.

  • Standard U.S.: 4 to 14 business days after shipping (may take up to 21 business days)
  • Expedited U.S.: 2 to 6 business days after shipping
  • International Standard: 3 to 6 weeks (may take 8 to 12 weeks due to customs delays)

Contacting Your Seller

If you have any questions about your shipment, please contact your seller directly. Seller contact information can be found in your order confirmation e-mail, as well as on the order summary page in Your Account. (For Auctions orders, click here.) If after contacting the seller you still have not received your item, you may be eligible for reimbursement under our A-to-z Guarantee.


Items Shipped by Amazon Merchants

If you ordered an item fulfilled by an Amazon Merchant (such as Eddie Bauer, Macy's, or Office Depot), we will estimate delivery dates; however, you will need to contact the merchant if you do not receive your shipment within the expected time frame. You can find contact information via the order summary page in Your Account.

If your order was sold by a Merchant and Fulfilled by Amazon, Amazon will handle any customer service issues relative to your order.

If after contacting the merchant you still have not received your item, you may be eligible for reimbursement under our A-to-z Guarantee. Some important exceptions to this coverage do exist and are listed on the A-to-z Guarantee Help page, so please click to read more.
