To order and obtain the IBM PCI Cryptographic Coprocessor
and its IBM software, follow these steps:
- If you wish to order the PCI Cryptographic Coprocessor
(PCICC) feature for the iSeries (feature #4801 and
#4802), see the iSeries
website for information about IBM 4758s in that
system type. The Coprocessor and its OS/400 software
are obtained as features of the iSeries and AS/400
and OS/400 and not from this website. However, the
CCA Basic Services manual is obtained from
the Library page of this
website.
- If you wish to order the PCI Cryptographic Coprocessor
(PCICC) feature for the zSeries (feature #0865, #0866,
and #0869), see the zSeries
website for information about the PCICC feature
available for that system type. The Coprocessor, its
software, and publications are obtained as features
of the S/390 and zSeries servers, and of OS/390 and
z/OS, and not from this website.
- If you wish to order the PCI Cryptographic Coprocessor
(PCICC) feature for the pSeries (feature #4964), check
the IBM
pSeries page for the availability of the feature
and any PCI-slot limitations. You will order feature
#4964 when you order your pSeries machine. The software
and publications for the Coprocessor are downloaded
from this website.
- If you are interested in the PCI Cryptographic Coprocessor
for use with IBM
xSeries servers, you can order IBM 4758
PCI Cryptographic Coprocessors as indicated below.
IBM tests the Coprocessor
in various popular configurations. The Coprocessor
may work in additional configurations, but IBM makes
no claim in this regard.

Replacement
Battery Kit
The battery kit contains two batteries and a
temporary-battery tray. Batteries require replacement
after three or more years. When replacing batteries,
be sure they are fresh and of recent manufacture.
Two kits are required to replace the four batteries
located on the 3.3-volt Coprocessor variations.
