The Country's Sixth Busiest Airport is a Roll of the Dice Away From the Strip

Las Vegas' McCarran Airport (LAS) is the sixth busiest airport in the U.S. and eleventh busiest in the world. In 2006, McCarran's year-to-date passenger count was 14,755,745 travelers, all enjoying a great view of the Strip as they land. (McCarran has 1,300 slot machines in the terminal so passengers can drop a few coins while waiting for their luggage.) The airport is named for Senator Pat McCarran, a longtime Nevada politician.
