The Frys.com Open
The 25th anniversary Frys.com Open, part of the Fall Series of the PGA Tour, will be held at the TPC at Summerlin and TPC at The Canyons, October 8-14th. This event became the first PGA Tour event in history to offer a total prize purse of more than $1 million. County Renaissance Faire
The 14th annual festival features costumed performers presenting shows and historical re-enactments, jousting tournaments, and more than 100 artisans. Da Vinci Exhibit
Experience the inventions of da Vinci this Saturday through March 2, 2008 at the Henderson Events Plaza. Presented by the City of Henderson, this exhibit will feature more than 60 precise transportation, military and mechanical replicas developed by da Vinci and permanently housed at the Museum of the History of Science in Florence, Italy. Women and Aviation-a Roundtable Discussion
This outdoor event is a celebration of the historic involvement of women in aviation in Clark County. The panel of speakers include: Peg Crockett, along with husband George Crockett, who owned and operated Alamo Aviation from 1948 to 1967 at Alamo Field, now McCarran International Airport. Alamo Airways was one of the city's pioneering commercial airlines. Also participating is Marie McMillan, she holds 657 aviation records and Billie Bates, an early aviator in Boulder City. The 11th Annual "Bite Of Las Vegas"
All day Saturday, enjoy Nevada's largest food and music celebration, featuring a variety of Las Vegas restaurants. Entertainment includes Fuel, Lifehouse, Vanessa Carlton and more. 11 a.m.- 10 p.m. at Desert Breeze Park at Spring Mountain and Durango. Admission is $8 for adults and free to children 5 and under.
