The Herald Education News is the Buenos
Aires Herald's monthly newspaper for teachers. It reflects the situation
of teachers and all education workers in Argentina. Regular features include
interviews, inside the news, a calendar with events, NIE features (activities
and theory), feature articles and much more.
In every issue you will find different topics that concern all educators,
from teachers who work inside a school or in their homes to translators,
school heads, policy and decision makers and anyone working in education.
Topics covered range from teaching methods and approaches to textbooks,
employers vs. employees, business English, drama in education, teachers
and unions, technology in education, ELT personalities, dressing codes
and school gossip. The Herald Education News contains
current news, but also texts and classroom material, updated information
on curricular trends, international debates on pedagogic methods, education
policy issues, international examinations and everything related to the
education world.
The newspaper also discusses the role and the problems of teachers outside
the profession: salaries, being a professional and a parent, hobbies,
work overloads, working at home, relationship difficulties, and more.
After three years work, the Herald Education News has
become an essential tool for every educator, and at this stage we are
more willing than ever to keep you informed and help you in your professional
development. To make this possible we invite you to participate by sharing
your experiences, concerns, anecdotes, events and anything you think will
enrich the publication and encourage others in their profession.
