Have you planned your giving yet?

A planned gift allows a donor to support the mission of an organization they believe in, so that the mission continues, in the event of the donors passing.

People often say they would like to help but many are on a fixed income, or helping to fund a child's education. They may not have enough savings, and truly do not feel they can provide financial support - even if their heart tells them they'd like to.

Well, the truth is you can help, and you don't have to give up doing any of the things you need to. Planned giving provides the opportunity for everyone to make a difference. More and more non profits are building a support network through planned gifts and the Basketball Hall of Fame is no different.

Wills are the easiest form of a planned gift. Whether you wish to provide a specific amount to a charity or a certain percentage is totally up to you. Some people prefer to give stock as a gift while others may decide a Charitable Remainder Trust is a better way. Whatever you choose, a future gift that you plan for now will benefit the Hall of Fame in keeping to its mission.

We would love to know if you've already made a gift to the Hall of Fame in your will, or in some other way. It would be nice to recognize you with others who've done the same. If you wish to learn more about how you can plan a gift, please call Fran Judkins, Director of Development at (413) 231-5508. She will be happy to help you.
