BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME AND MOHEGAN SUN ESTABLISH ENSHRINEMENT WEEKEND PARTNERSHIP

SPRINGFIELD, MA - The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Mohegan Sun announced today a multi-year partnership featuring a star-studded golf tournament at Mohegan Sun Country Club at Pautipaug and a gala dinner hosted by Mohegan Sun to assist the Hall of Fame's educational outreach programs and benefit the Rebound FundTM, which was established to provide assistance to Hall of Famers, former professional basketball players, coaches, and other members of the Hall of Fame community who are in need of financial support.

The inaugural events will be held September 8 & 9, 2007 in conjunction with the Hall of Fame Enshrinement Weekend activities. Hall of Fame Class of 2006 member Geno Auriemma has teamed up with the Hall of Fame and Mohegan Sun to help produce the event, which is expected to attract over 30 Hall of Famers and a number of basketball, sports and entertainment celebrities, including Hall of Famers Rick Barry, Jim Calhoun, George Gervin, Meadowlark Lemon, Calvin Murphy , Dominique Wilkins, James Worthy and Celtics legends Bob Cousy and KC Jones

In addition, members of the Hall of Fame Class of 2007 will attend after being formally enshrined into the Hall of Fame just the evening before during ceremonies in Springfield, MA.

A gala dinner on Saturday, September 8th will be hosted in the stunning Uncas Ballroom at Mohegan Sun, featuring members of the Hall of Fame Class of 2007, more than 30 Hall of Famers from previous years, sports and entertainment legends, and will include a live and silent auction with once-in-a-lifetime sports experiences and items, live music and entertaining commentary from legendary UCONN Coach Geno Auriemma and other Hall of Famers.

On Sunday, September 9th more than 20 Hall of Famers will trade basketballs for golf clubs to play in the inaugural Basketball Hall of Fame Golf Classic at Mohegan Sun Country Club at Pautipaug.

The Basketball Hall of Fame's Class of 2007 will be formally enshrined at the Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA on Friday, September 7, 2007 during ceremonies televised live on NBA-TV and ESPN Classic. Members of the Class of 2007 include Lakers Coach Phil Jackson,

North Carolina Coach Roy Williams, LSU Women's Coach Van Chancellor, members of the 1966 NCAA Champion Texas Western Miners, international coaches Pedro Ferrandiz and Mirko Novosel and the late Mendy Rudolph.
