While at Connecticut, Lobo was also named Big East Rookie of the Year (1992), twice named Big East Player of the Year (1994, 1995), and the Naismith National Player of the Year in her final season. Allocated to the WNBA's New York Liberty in its inaugural season (1997), Lobo was named to the All-WNBA Second Team in her second season, and was chosen as a WNBA All-Star in 1999. Lobo played for three teams during her 6-year WNBA career, including the New York Liberty, Houston Comets, and the Connecticut Sun.
