Fan Submission Guidelines

How to get your stuff on the MDb!

FAN ART
If you'd like to contribute to the MDb World with a piece of fan art, just drop us a line first and let us know what you've got.

* DO NOT send any images without first getting an OK from us via e-mail, OR YOUR ART WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR INCLUSION. We don't care how good your art is, we will not make any exceptions, so please just follow the rules.

* DO NOT name your files "metroid" or "samus."

* Include either your name or a screen name you wish to identify the artist.

* Please be sure the images are in gif or jpg format, preferably under 1 meg in size. Larger files may be transferred via AIM. Contact the Fan Submissions Administrator for details.

* Concerning content, the sky is pretty much the limit, but images containing nudity, R-rated profanity, and/or ridiculous amounts of gore will not be posted to the MDbWorld.

* If your material has been uploaded to another site already, you may e-mail the link.

Remove NOSPAM from address before e-mailing.

FAN FICTION
Again, please e-mail us first and tell us a little about your story. DO NOT send any files without first getting the OK from us via e-mail, OR YOUR WORK WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR INCLUSION. No exceptions.

Please attach your approved work to an e-mail. Preferred formats are plain .txt format (with lines approximately 70 characters long) or Microsoft Word .doc format. If your material has been uploaded to another web site already, you may e-mail the link.

There is no minimum or maximum length. However, for very long stories, it is preferred that you send them one or two chapters at a time and wait until they are posted before sending the next chapters.

* For quality control purposes, the MDb Fan Submissions Administrator must read through every fanfiction before uploading. He's a busy guy, so it may take awhile to recieve a response.

*If you are not sure how good your story was or if your fanfiction was rejected for quality purposes, feel free to check out the 'Metroid City Lexicon' for help on improving your writing.
