  Dismantling Bigotry, Valuing Diversity

Established in 2001 as an activism project of the Center, Tolerance.org is dedicated to promoting understanding and acceptance.

If you want to know how to transform yourself, your home, your school, workplace or community, Tolerance.org is a place to start – and continue – the journey.

Through its online well of resources and ideas, its expanding collection of print materials and its growing outreach efforts, Tolerance.org promotes and supports anti-bias activism in every area of American life. Tolerance.org provides:

  • Daily news about groups and individuals working for tolerance and fighting hate;
  • Guides for adult and youth activists;
  • Practical resources for parents and teachers;
  • and
  • Entertaining and educational games for children.

Covering important stories such as bigotry on college campuses and the backlash against Arab Americans following the events of 9.11, Tolerance.org has become an important anti-bias voice online.

Planet Tolerance for kids and a Parents area provide innovative activities, games, and opportunities to interact, helping all ages learn more about bias in our society and making change.

Tolerance.org also has developed important initiatives, such as the Center's Mix It Up program, and has served as an educational partner for HBO's The Laramie Project, a film concerning the death of Matthew Shepard.

Winner of the Webby Award for Activism and Electronic Multimedia Awards for both Education and Public Service, Tolerance.org continues forward in its mission to help U.S. residents fight hate and promote tolerance.
