Empire State College is a comprehensive public college within the State University of New York. For the 2006-2007 academic year, 17,500 students enrolled at Empire State College. Our students are motivated, our programs are personalized. Faculty work with students in individual, small groups, short-term residency’s and online learning modes. Central to the faculty role is helping adults design and complete individualized degree plans. Our Faculty is uniquely dedicated and supportive. We have 155 full-time faculty members of which more than 96% hold terminal degrees. Our annual budget is $63 million. We are accredited, respected and known as an innovator and leader. The college is a pioneer in mentoring adult learners, prior learning assessment, and on-line learning. Empire State College was a key contributor in establishing the SUNY Learning Network. The SUNY Learning Network is the online learning arm of the State University of New York that includes SUNY's 64 campuses offering 2,500 courses in 55 degree programs to more than 40,000 students.
