Edward W Kelley & Partners’ Education Practice is committed to identifying and recruiting leaders with these capabilities. We have placed presidents, chancellors, school heads, vice presidents, deans and other leaders at institutions throughout the United States ranging from small private liberal arts colleges to large state university systems to independent schools. Having contributed to education as trustees, presidents, administrators and faculty members, our search consultants possess exceptional insight into the nature and needs of the institutions we serve.

Edward W Kelley & Partners was created in January 2006, and the former A.T. Kearney Executive Search provides the core of the new company. EWK Partners includes the entire professional and support staff of the Education Practice of A.T. Kearney, as well as several exciting new recruits.

We take the time to learn about the opportunities and challenges presented by each position and work closely with search committees to articulate the selection criteria. Our experience provides us with both "best practices" in conducting searches, but we are also flexible in exploring new methods to meet the needs and uphold the traditions of each institution.

Based upon search committee criteria, the Education Practice recruits aggressively using our extensive networks to build strong and diverse candidate pools. Because Edward W Kelley & Partners serves a broad range of industries, we can draw upon this resource when our clients seek candidates from outside the education world. We assist search committees in developing systems to track the status of candidates throughout the search process to ensure accurate records and timely communication with candidates.

Once the candidate pool is assembled, the Education Practice supports the search committee in evaluating candidate files, conducting interviews, and checking references. Throughout the search, our consultants maintain close communication with the search chair and assist in developing regular communication with the campus. Finally, we work closely with both the institution and the final candidate to ensure a successful conclusion and leadership transition. Our consultants stay in close contact during and after each search to monitor the process and the final placement.
