4th Annual Night of the Museums The Buenos Aires City Culture Ministry presents the fourth edition of the Night of the Museums, which attracted 300,000 people last year. On Sat., Oct. 6 starting at 7pm until 2am. There are 102 museums and art exhibits — both private and public — to visit. Along the route there will be a variety of tango, jazz, and folk music concerts, as well as theatrical performances and film screenings. Special guest performers include Kevin Johansen & The Nada, La Bomba de Tiempo, Martín Buscaglia & Los Bochamakers and the DJs Villa Diamante and Dany Nijensohn at Puerto Madero in front of the Centro de Museos de Buenos Aires, Av. de los Italianos 851. Buenos Aires Gallery Nights is a monthly cultural circuit of more than 60 galleries, museums and antique stores in the neighbourhoods of Retiro and Barrio Norte. Today starting at 7pm. Free admission, as well as free concerts and entertainment along the route. Complimentary champagne available at some of the galleries. As part of the event, there will be a series “Dialogando con Artistas,” moderated by Laura Batkis in the British Arts Centre (BAC) at Suipacha 1333, at 7pm, with invited artist Diego Bianchi. Free city walking tours Today, City Hall guides will conduct a free walking tour of the Abasto neighbourhood, setting out from Av. Corrientes and Anchorena at 3pm.
