Well Lol sometimes it takes "abit" more hehe.
I sit and i do 260 on the bd and that is good as hell ya know but stil i have no inspiration at all to sit and practise or just fool around or play any of the songs from my bands.
I sat for 4 hours yesterday and tried, didn't play one whole song thru, just parts here and there.
Shit this is really going on my nerves  |
Smoke a weed and play some random superslow bullshit, and you will feel like a Chambers during solo (but the part with the weed is very important!!!)

the left foot!
i used to have a better left foot than right, now it totally sucks. this is gonna sound faggy, but try playing 'clocks' from coldplay with your left foot, the continual pump is a great warmup. or find something with a similar pattern that won't get you stabbed by your mates!

what i do is listen to some one who is alot better than me for a while and think about how i could make my playing better and i get ideas and i just feel like playing alot more after that

i go to youtube and just watch other drummers...and take the nexus approach
smoke some pot and grab an ipod and just jam to ur favorite shit have some fun then concentrate the metal in ur head outa ur head

i'm taking strong steps towards ambidexterity and matching feet and hands. can you feet and hands paly roughly the same speed? can they play the same patterns? how does your left compare to your right? can your feet play rudiments? if not, learn heel-toe. all these things will give you muscle memory that will turn you into a god.

get something new going. like a new song or a new project. do what it feels like to do. i have been away from the kit for months now because i dont feel like it. this is also because of us loosing the practice room, but i could practice elsewhere. i just cant find the motivation.
i guess its not that bad. why force oneself to play if it does not feel good? ive been doing other stuff and ive been getting a lot out of the time ive been inactive as a drummer. im sure that ill wake up one day and feel like playing again. this has happenend before and i allways get back to drumming, and more motivated each time.
