Right, here's my kit. Peavey International Series II (22" bass, 12 and 13" rack toms, 16" floor tom, 14" shitty steel snare, 14" hi-hats and an 18" cymbal that's so bad, it's not a crash or a ride, it's just a thing) all in silver finish. I've always played it pretty hard since it's not worth much, but I think I overdid it because now with the chain off, the snare sounds like a plastic drum.
It's not worth taking a picture of the pile of crap, so I'm just going to include a pic of what it looked like new.

There it is, in all its not-quite-glory. Obviously I'm not happy with that as I'm now ready for an intermediate kit, so please help me to decide what to get here http://www.extremedrumming.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2999 _________________ </[bslsthgrt!]> |

I thought Peavey made amps? like PA's and stuff. School has a few of them
Once you get enough cash you'll be able to get a better kit, just a matter of time Just like me _________________ ...I'll run this body into the ground until it flys...

Yeah, Peavey make amps, PAs, speakers, guitars, basses... In my experience, you generally find that the more specialised a musical company is the better its products are, eg. Peavey = lots of things = bad, Mapex = just drums = good
Yeah, just need to save money. What are you playing at the moment then? _________________ </[bslsthgrt!]> |

But yeah, when I get a job after saving that'll be different. _________________ ...I'll run this body into the ground until it flys...

Actually Peavey used to make those badass Radial Pro kits a couple of years back.
Unfortunatley they have been discontinued.
They were pretty pricey but well worth it, and to my knowledge the very first drums to have no hardware at all drilled into the shell.
I'd kill for one of those. _________________ "May The Force Be With You!!!" |

Ah that reminds me of my first kit.
Hopefully you'll get something better soon. Always check used equipment _________________ I guess the Emo guys hit the cymbals real hard because they hate their dads or something.
The true Emo Drum Setup has the only rack tom parallel to the ground, at the same exact height as the snare. I think it's so they can slit their wrists easier. |
