Hello!,
I am new to this forum, i have upgraded loads of stuff, (pedals, cymbals, throne, hardware) since the last time i took pictures of my kit.

you can see my old set up here http://www.pearldrummersforum.com/s...ad.php?t=152806

Also not everything you see is mine, some of the cymbals and a few stands i am borrowing off our vocalist, although i will probably end up buying it off him anyway sometime in the near future

I am aware i am in desperate need of a head change and also a new snare (completely f*cked it up at practice but its only a peace so i dont care hehe)
and also the snare stand i am using is a piece of garbage .. i left my tama one at my cousins house.

Specs:

Tama Swingstar:
10x9
12x10
13x11
16x16
16x16

Paiste 18" alpha china
Meinl 17" classics medium crash
Zildjian 8" ZHT splash
Zildjian 10" A splash
Zildjian 14" ZXT thin crash (believe it or not cool effect cymbal )

I like that you have your set angled like you're using two kicks even though you aren't. It seems that most everyone who uses a double pedal still sets up their kit like they're on a standard old high school band 5 piece.

I would set my kit up like that but tom stands are expensive and i would rather buy a new cymbal.

Thanks for the comments!
i dont play open handed, but actually out of all my cymbals that wuhan is in the most awkward of positions out of all of them, im not used to playing cymbals past my hihats, something i shall work on!

and actually, that is always been a thought i have had, why people play double pedals with bass drums angled towards the croud, i have always found it much easier angling it to the right a bit, that and when i finally do switch to a double bass drum set up then it will be alot easier to get used to as far as positioning and what not.

as for the tom stand i got that with the kit so it was no real expence for me

thanks,

antismurf.

if you played open-handed occasionally, that china would be well placed and easy to access. try thrashing/blasting with open-hand first up, easiest way to use it (and allows you to go a lot faster too).
